Lawrence Taylor is currently facing charges of 3rd degree rape. He’s accused of having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute. Luckily, Taylor’s lawyers have come up with a slick defense.
Taylor won’t deny he was in the same room as the girl, but he will deny having sex with her. Instead, he will say he was merely masturbating in front of her.
Lawyers will also argue that the condom found in the hotel room wasn’t his and he didn’t use it.
According to New York law, “A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when … he or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person less than seventeen years old.”
Interestingly … in the criminal complaint against the alleged pimp, authorities allege Taylor engaged in “sex acts” but there is not mention of sexual intercourse — a requirement for 3rd degree rape.
While this still makes him look super creepy, at least he didn’t rape anyone. He’s just a harmless middle-aged man who likes to whack off while being watched by underage girls, not a rapist. There’s a big difference. I’m sure the public will see this. Maybe. Hopefully.
