Lawrence Taylor may have raped a 15-year-old

Former linebacker Lawrence Taylor, 51, who enjoyed a slight surge in popularity after being featured in the opening credits of The Blind Side and a brief stint on Dancing With the Stars, was arrested in New York today on suspicion of rape.

Taylor was accused of beating and raping a 15-year-old girl in the Holidome Hotel in Montebello. Taylor will be charged with third-degree rape.

Authorities say the 15-year-old girl was under the control of a pimp. The pimp was also arrested on charges of unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a minor. They add that Taylor paid the girl $300 for sex.

At least Taylor didn’t blindside her like he did Joe Theismann. That would have been the ultimate in surprise sex. Silver lining, guys.
