18-year-old Filipino singer, Charice Pempengco, who I already confuse for an 8-year-old, appeared on both Ellen DeGeneres’ and Oprah Winfrey’s talk shows a few years back. She got famous, auditioned for Glee in mid-June and will make her debut on the show next season.
Naturally, to prepare, she went and got Botox and an “anti-aging procedure to look fresh on camera.” This chick is insane. From the AP:
…underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox to make her “naturally round face” more narrow, celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo told ABS-CBN television.
“All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure,” Charice said.
This makes a lot of sense. Charice is 18. That’s 30 in Hollywood years. Turning back time to look like you just dropped out of your mom’s uterus is only logical. Now, whenever she walks down the street, people will stop saying how old and Madonna-like she looks.
