The 2010 Emmy nominations are out

The 2010 Emmy nominations have been announced and Glee and Modern Family are among the favorites. Leading the pack is the HBO WWII miniseries, The Pacific. Which I’ve heard nothing about. Glee had 19 nominations while Mad Men had 17. For whatever reason, 30 Rock was also nominated. People must have been hitting the random vote button because that show is not funny. Oh, look at Tina Fey say random stuff. Teehee.

More importantly, The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien earned its first Emmy nomination. He’ll go up against The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher and SNL in the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series category. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno was not nominated because everyone hates that asshole. Popeater says NBC submitted Leno while O’Brien’s own people submitted his.
