Lindsay’s judge removed herself

Judge Marsha Revel, the one who sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab, has removed herself from Lindsay’s case after allegations she contacted outside parties without notifying lawyers.

Prosecutor Danette Meyers was first to raise concerns about Judge Revel’s improper conduct of talking to Morningside Recovery rehab, medical experts and Robert Shapiro without telling the lawyers.

As you know, Judge Revel decided to send Lohan to Morningside even though it wasn’t one of the recommended rehabs.  Lindsay’s lawyer successfully convinced Revel to send her to UCLA’s rehab program instead but talking with Morningside was a no-no. Before more motions could be filed by the prosecutor, Revel removed herself.

Judge Elden Fox is the new judge on the case. Hopefully she’ll continue not caring that Lindsay is a celebrity. But in all likelihood, probably not. In a week, she’ll feel sorry for Lohan and give this speech on how she was mistreated just because she was famous. Then she’ll ask for her autograph after she releases her from rehab for looking pretty.
