Back in June, Chris Klein was arrested for driving on the freeway with his dog at 3 AM with a BAC of .24. Klein plead no contest today to one count of DUI and apologized. “I apologize for my wrongdoing and I really appreciate the court giving me the opportunity to prove how seriously I took all of this.” The judge in turn sentenced Klein to the minimum amount of time for a second DUI offender, 96 hours. Luckily, Klein has already served these 96 hours somehow.
Klein, who was in court with Blair Berk — who seems to handle 90% of celebrity cases. The judge also imposed 4 years probation and required Klein to drive a car with an alcohol interlock device. And he must attend an alcohol ed program.
Whew. For a second there I thought a celebrity would actually have to go to jail. That was close. Thankfully the judge recognized he was famous and blew air kisses at him while giving him a slap on the wrist.
