Katy Perry and Russell Brand marry in India

Katy Perry and Russell Brand got married in India in a traditional Hindu wedding on Saturday. The nuptials took place in a wild tiger sanctuary at Aman-e-Khas resort and was part of a six-day celebration which included a Bollywood themed party on Friday night.

Katy and Russell both dressed in traditional Indian clothes for the ceremony, conducted by a Hindu priest. Katy and the female guests were reportedly wearing saris during the wedding.

21 camels, horses and elephants “formed part of Brand’s wedding procession” which also included Indian musicians and dancers.

According to all the two Indian movies I’ve seen, everyone broke out into a big dance number at the end and no one called them queer or nothin’. Suffice to say, the wedding was a big success.
