Ever since Kendra Wilkinson’s husband Hank Baskett signed with the Vikings, Kendra’s life has been turned upside down. She sat down with Life & Style to talk about how she’s practically a single mother now.
“Not having Hank around hurts,” Kendra tells Life & Style. “Moving across the country by myself makes me think of my own mom who raised me and my brother alone. Hank’s not going to be there forever, but with him not physically here, I’m a single parent now.”
Hank’s decision to sign with the Minnesota Vikings — and spend time away from his family– resulted in a screaming match with his exasperated wife. “It hurt a lot,” Kendra tells Life & Style. “When Hank left I felt lonely. He’s my everything. Nobody else can really fill that loneliness.” She admits there’s been a lot of tears throughout this time. “We cry. It’s hard, and we aren’t ashamed to cry.”
But thanks to her family and Hank’s, she has a big support system to turn to for help. Still, there’s no substitute for being together with her husband. “I’m going to go back to the minus-2-degree weather to spend Thanksgiving, baby Hank’s 1st birthday and Christmas in a small one bedroom hotel room with my husband and son. That’s all that matters to me.”
Poor Kendra. This single mom but not really has to raise her 11-month-old all by herself but not really. She should go to a single mom support group where she can learn how other single mothers deal with all the stress. Such as when nanny Rosa shows up at 10:30 AM when she was supposed to be at the house by 10 or when their husband is off playing professional football in the NFL rather than helping with the dishes. I don’t know how Kendra does it!
I think it is insulting to single moms everywhere including her own mom that Kendra calls herself a single mom. She does not have to worry about earning a living while taking care of her son without any outside help. I have always been a fan of Kendra but this shows a bit of a selfish insensitive side to her. Kendra is in a position that will require maturity of mind thinking…..You married a man who is a NFL Football player…..True husband needs to work harder on his craft to provide some resemblance of control over his trading situation…..but he would be considered a dead beat dad if he was unemployed and leeching on Kendra’s fame….But she professes to have wanted a family, something she did not have….Now she is willing denying her son that opportunity…..One should be careful what you ask for, then get it and is not willing to put the work in that is required to make… Read more »
