Over the weekend, Wyclef Jean claimed a gun went off and a bullet grazed his hand resulting in a superficial injury while walking in Port-au-Prince Saturday night. None of that was that believable of course because the chances of that happening are one in a million. Plus, he refused to talk to the cops.
Now Petionville Police Chief Vanel Lacroix tells Routers that according to doctors who treated him, Jean cut his hand on glass. This was after Wyclef tweeted, “Everyone can relax Wyclef is fine… They can’t stop us not one bullet or a machine gun!!!!!!”
Makes sense. If you’re supporting Michel “Sweet Micky” Martelly, a pop singer, in a runoff election, what better way to get votes than to make your cause seem so important that you’d be assassinated over it. It’s way better than telling people you tripped and fell onto a piece of glass, you clumsy f**k.
