West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll told the Daily Local News that Ryan Dunn’s blood alcohol content was .196, two and a half times the legal limit of .08. “No other substances were found in his blood other than the alcohol.” In addition, cops are now reporting Dunn was going between 132 and 140 MPH.
So, if you were holding out hope that Ryan Dunn was sober in a misguided attempt to prove how evil the media and Roger Ebert were for assuming the worst about your idol, then you might want to grab at other straws. Yes, it’s tragic that Ryan Dunn died but it’s even more tragic he was going 138 MPH in a Porsche with a BAC of two and a half times the legal limit causing him to jump a guardrail and kill his passenger. He could have been the nicest guy in the world, but at that point, you’re just taunting death.
It sucks that this happens, but you have to live with consequences in life. Hopefully, other people will learn from this…but probably not.
Plus, that car goes almost 200mph. He didn’t have the skills to drive it sober, let alone drunk.
I think the hatred for Ebert is about the way that he spoke of Dunn posthumously, not whether he was right or not. You always speak well of the dead.
Not the douchey dead.
I think it’s how early Ebert came out with the tweet. But look at twitter now. Stuff like Ryan “Well” Dunn..I bet Bam’s own fans are saying stuff like that.
What’s interesting is that even though they were Jackasses, they never made fun of other people did they? Only themselves..
Anyway, doing 140mph with almost a .2 BAC is uncool. Undefendable…
I hate this story .. It sux
