Mike McQueary Did Everything He Could

Mike McQueary, the guy who caught Jerry Sandusky raping a little boy in the shower, must have gotten tired of people asking him why he didn’t put a stop to it because he told The Morning Call that he did. Sort of. McQueary also claims he contacted police although the grand jury report says otherwise.

According to the grand jury report, a graduate assistant later identified as McQueary said he saw a boy, whose age he estimated at 10 years old, “being subjected to anal intercourse” by a naked Sandusky in a shower at the Penn State football building in March 2002. The graduate assistant left “immediately,” was “distraught” and called his father, according to the presentment. His father told him to leave the building and come to his home, the presentment says.

In the email obtained by The Morning Call, dated Nov. 8, McQueary said, “I did stop it, not physically, but made sure it was stopped when I left that locker room.”

“No one can imagine my thoughts or wants to be in my shoes for those 30-45 seconds,” McQueary wrote. “Trust me.” Morning Call

That’s right, people. Stop bad-mouthing Mike McQueary. He’s a hero. He stopped a rape in progress. Not physically stopped it perhaps, but, you know, flicking the lights on and off before scurrying away like a scared little girl and calling daddy is practically the same thing. No need for a medal, boy who’s scarred for life, your thanks is all Mike needs.

Imagine the brave prison guard who will do the same for Sandusky et al when he sees the same thing in the showers. Heroes all…
