Robert Pattinson in Premiere: Cannes Edition

Robert Pattinson is in French Premiere Magazine promoting David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis where he plays a 28-year-old billionaire assets manager.

He tells the mag that his appearance at Cannes this year won’t be as big as previous years because “This year they won’t even notice me: ‘We don’t care, he’s not in The Hunger Games!

Pattinson also laments aging. “I’m older,” he said. “When I have to go on the makeup chair, I see all those wrinkles that came with time, it’s scary.” He revealed that he’s also put on some weight! “Since I didn’t have any clothes when we shot the first movie, I stole some from the movie and I can’t fit any them anymore!” Rob is 25. Here’s the world’s smallest violin playing the world’s saddest song for him.

Robert then says filming Cosmopolis with Cronenberg “gave me balls” and that he’s a lot more confident now.

“I have 5 projects lined up right now that follow the path that movie opened for me,” he continued. “Before, I spent my time doubting myself. As soon as I read a script that I liked, I was working myself up, asking myself if I was good enough. Now, I tell myself: ‘F— it! If they want to hire you, go!”

I’d feel the same way if people threw millions of dollars at me for no reason other than I played a pasty, sparkly vampire in a terrible teen movie. I’d feel like I had won the lottery.
