Chris Brown and Drake Put a Nightclub Out of Business

Following the Chris Brown/Drake bottle brawl at W.i.P. in NYC, the NYPD (so many acronyms) shut the place down. Now their liquor license has been suspended by the New York State Liquor Authority.

The SLA says it has hit the club with 17 Alcoholic Beverage Control Law violations … including drug activity (twice) … lack of supervision … using the name “W.I.P.” without SLA authorization … and “becoming a drain on police resources.”

According to the SLA, the ban is “effective immediately … no alcohol can be served or consumed on the premises.” TMZ

Not that this matters. Clubs open for 2 to 3 years, shut down when they get old and tired, re-brand themselves and have a new grand opening all the time. It’s just it’s going to happen a lot faster this time. The only bad thing is W.i.P. had some great publicity from this. I hear their new tagline was going to be, “W.i.P.: Where Chris Brown gets gash.”
