Controversy Erupts Over Gwyneth Paltrow ‘Ni**as in Paris’ Tweet
Gwyneth Paltrow sends out GOOP newsletters every week so by now everyone sort of knows she’s somewhat of an idiot. So what she did last Friday wasn’t too surprising.
Paltrow, who’s friends with Beyonce, ended up at a show in Paris for Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne tour and because this was Gwyneth Paltrow, she thought people would be okay with a white person making “n**ga” puns. You could say she made everyone throw their hands in the air and say, “What?”
During the concert, The Dream tweeted a photo of Gwyneth dancing on stage. Gwyneth replied, “Ni**as in paris for real.” Apparently that wasn’t the best thing for a rich white lady to tweet. Gwyneth responded to the ensuing controversy by replying, “Hold up. It’s the title of the song.”
The Dream defended Paltrow saying he typed the reply into her phone. “Fyi Sorry for the [confusion] I typed Ni**as in paris for real from Gwens Phone my bad…,” he wrote. ” … please excuse it! We were lit!”
People don’t seem to be accepting the apology but they should just give her this. This is the most creative thing she’s done in a long time. It’s like the retarded kid who scores his first goal. Instead of telling him he scored on his own team, they feel sorry for him and fake cheer anyway.
It is a word. WHo cares. If her friends use the word and they are ‘allowed’ to use the ‘word’ then who cares. People are being brainwashed into separatism and petty fights over skin color – get over it, we all bleed red, call me a cracker call them a n***a – its a word.
We care,…it(the tweet) was for public consumption and not everyone is numb and dumb. I am not, and don’t ever want people comfortable with such words. Will people continue to explain that words mean nothing, yes and that is in fact stupid.
Maybe she shoulda said n*****s in America then they would have gotten the picture. They are stupid for joking with a white person with that word.
