Tony Scott Committed Suicide Off a Bridge

Hollywood was in shock yesterday when 68-year-old Tony Scott, Ridley Scott’s younger brother and Top Gun director, jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro killing himself. A suicide note was found in his Prius which was parked on the bridge.

The search for Scott’s body proved difficult as the water around the port was so murky that authorities had to use sonar equipment to find him.

Tony was best known for Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, Enemy of the State and The Taking of Pelham 123 and was one half of Scott Free Productions which he ran with his brother Ridley.
