Demi Lovato Owned by ‘X Factor’ Contestant
E! presented a promo for the upcoming season of X Factor and what better way to promote the show than to feature terrible auditions and butthurt contestants. Everybody loves a failure. Even more so failures who go out in a ball of flames.
One contestant came on, did a Walk Like an Egyptian type dance and was laid into by the judges. But he didn’t walk off stage with whatever grace and dignity he had left. No. That’s not good tv. He plead his case whining, “I worked way too friggin hard for this.” Demi Lovato replied, “A lot of people work really, really hard for their dreams but it’s not meant for everybody.” To which the guy said, “That’s why you use auto-tune and I don’t.”
Does anyone have some ice? Because Demi Lovato just got burned. At least Demi had a snappy comeback. Wait, no she didn’t. The only thing she could come up with to say was, “Actually…” before trailing off.

No, auto tune does not make one a better singer, but it certainly does camouflage a grating voice that would make a beagle’s ears bleed, and Britney Spears is certainly no stranger to manipulating her voice in order to make it sound moderately better. I agree with you but If you have actually heard Britney sing without autotune she’s actually ok. I think she just doesn’t sing live because since she hasn’t done it regularly since she was a kid it would be terrifying now not to mention she used to do crazy dance routines.
I agree Luke, even Justin Timberlake has admitted to using voice stabilizers during live shows because of that reason. It is practically humanly impossible to jump around on stage as much as many of these artists do and pull off the notes they do.
Just think about going for a run, while hopping over things and having a conversation, while it is not the same thing as performing, it is pretty hard for the average person to do without huffs, puffs and changes in your tone.
Now imagine trying to sing during your run.
Here’s a radical idea – concentrate on the music instead of the choreography.

Anyone believing this is incredibly naive. This was promo for X-Factor, to create hype. I’m not sure if people know the TV industry, but most competent people realize most of it is fake. Demi actually did reply to him, but this was cut and edited in a way to create more hype. If you watch the original clip you’ll see that she originally said that I didn’t like it. Thats all. She gave her honest opinion and it was that she didn’t like it. It wasn’t until he started insisting that he got through she brought out that comment. Also she said his dream wasn’t going to come true and it wasn’t. I doubt he’s gonna be the next John Lennon at the age of 50.
