So They Built the Road Around the House

For the past four years, Luo Baogen, 67, and his wife, 65, have refused to move out of their house in Wenling, Zhejiang province, China, so it could be demolished to make way for a new road. They felt the $41,000 USD compensation wasn’t enough to pay for another home. Now, the government finally gave up trying to make them move… and just built the goddamn road around them all the way up to the house’s foundation.
