LeAnn Rimes just posted on Twitter that she never released any statement to the media about her performance last night on X Factor. This despite her lawyer giving TMZ a statement and telling them they can attribute it to LeAnn.
“In my 18 years of performing, I have never been anything but professional onstage. It is a shame that gossip and lies are overshadowing the performance of Carly, a very talented young girl.
And while I have not given any media outlet a quote, if you want one, here it is “It was an amazing opportunity to share this experience with Carly and I know I’ll be watching for her to win tonight.”
Rimes is probably backtracking because her original statement threw Carly Rose Sonenclar under the bus. “I’m rooting for Carly tonight” sounds much better than, “I sang like that because I had to carry Carly on my back. I’m so amazing. Suck it, Brandi Glanville.”
