The two Australian DJs from 2Day FM, Michael Christian and Mel Greig, who made the prank call to King Edward’s hospital and may have contributed to the suicide of the nurse who answered the phone have suspended themselves.
Southern Cross Austereo, owners of the station, released the statement, “SCA and 2Day FM are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha from King Edward VII’s Hospital.” Adding, “SCA and the hosts have decided that they will not return to their radio show until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy.”
I give it four weeks until they’re back on the air and about two months until they start making prank calls again and then two months and 2 hours later until someone calls in and says, “Hey, remember that woman you indirectly killed? Baba booey, baba booey!”
