CNN, the LA Times and other news outlets are reporting that police are currently in a shootout with ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner in a cabin in Big Bear. Two sheriff deputies have been wounded. Authorities say they found him after discovering a vehicle he stole causing Dorner to flee into the forest and barricade himself inside a cabin.
Smoke has been spotted at the scene of the firefight. The FAA has restricted the airspace near the area while police have told reporters to “get the f*ck out.” They’ve also blocked online police scanners suspecting Dorner had been using them to evade police.
Naturally, this was the perfect opportunity for a prank call. Someone phoned into CBS earlier saying Ronnie the limo driver shot Dorner. They only realized it was a prank when the person on the line called the reporter a “dumbass.”
