Sears and Kmart have joined the ever growing list of companies who want nothing to do with Paula “Slave Master” Deen. Sears and Kmart told TMZ on Friday that they had “made the decision to phase out all products tied to Deen’s brand.” However, they said they would “continue to evaluate the situation.”
Meanwhile, QVC is “taking a pause” in its relationship with Deen after having talked with her and her team. This means they too will phase out her products.
Deen, for her part, addressed the situation in her own letter posted to QVC’s site. “As you know, I have some important things to work on right now, both personally and professionally,” she wrote. “And so we’ve agreed that it’s best for me to step back from QVC and focus on setting things right. I am truly sorry and assure you I will work hard to earn your forgiveness.”
If you wanted to cheer Paula up, you could tell her to look on the bright side. At least she, has her health. Oh… wait.
What a bunch of bullshit. Sears and Kmart are boogie heaven…good riddance.
when the list is complete of the companies who have dropped Paula Dean for sumpin that happened 30 yrs ago,I will the readjust my buying habits to drop them. This is Kiss Obummers butt act
You realize she’s being dropped not just because of what she said decades ago, but of a current hostile work environment lawsuit and her whole diabetes debacle. This is a public relations nightmare – I wouldn’t step foot in a single store that didn’t have the guts to fire Deen.
You also realize she voted for Obama, right?
