So I ended up going to Comic-Con 2013 on Wednesday for preview night and it was everything you’d imagine Comic-Con to be. Hot, sweaty and with long lines everywhere. At badge pickup, in the halls and basically anywhere anyone could line up.
Look at all those people. That’s what happens when you think you can come only 3 hours early. Not even Bizarro Spider-Man could escape the lines.
This is what’s outside of Comic-Con. Defiance. I don’t know what that is but it has an arch so I assume that signifies something. Something important maybe.
Then there was Spider-Man at the Hard Rock. Well, a poster of it.
This is where MTV 2 Party at the Park is going on. There’s going to be a lot of pee on the grass.
And here we have Ender’s Game starring Harrison Ford and, uh, some other people. I wasn’t sure how you got into this but I assume it involves solving a complicated set of tasks like “registering” for it.
I’m not sure what these people were lining up for. I didn’t care to ask because I don’t talk to suckers.
Uh… Spider-Man again. I don’t know why.
All these people. Silly, silly people.
I also checked out the Godzilla Encounter. At this point, I was so tired I was about to pass out. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t responding to anything much less verbal cues.
After the Godzilla Encounter, it was back to the halls. Well, that lasted about 10 minutes. Luckily, I got to see this dude pose with the Power Rangers before I left.
And some zombies from The Walking Dead.
Then outside to this thing. Gawd, what’s with all the questions.
Later in the night was a HitFix party which I somehow got invited to. Hahaha, who approved that? Amirite? Anyway, thanks guys. Open bar, free food, someone with a illuminated backpack and Street Fighter 2 on the SNES. Good times.
