In a recent GQ list of the 25 Worst Rappers of All Time, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope of the Insane Clown Posse claimed the number one spot ahead of Pitbull, MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice. Perfect timing considering the Gathering of the Juggalos is next month. Now attendees will have something to brag about.
As you’d expect, J and Shaggy weren’t happy with the honors. Violent J told TMZ, “Insane Clown Posse has been selling rap records, rocking rap stages and making rap money for over 20 years now. You can’t rack up all that rap success for this long and still be ‘the worst ever.’ GQ magazine should stick to what they know: Dressing preppy metrosexuals.”
Wait, rap money. Is that, like, Monopoly money but with more clown face paint? Anyway, someone should really tell these two that selling millions of records and being terrible are not mutually exclusive.
Meanwhile, Shaggy took a more offensive approach saying, “Tell GQ to say it to my face!” Which is hilarious in a way because, on the same day, this video of them on Howard Stern Show resurfaced.
It’s of them going off on some guy who called in to say they suck and telling him that if he showed up at the studio, they’d kick his ass. Apparently it was all bluster because when the guy actually showed up, J and Shaggy got quiet and backed down.
