Britney Spears Being Pushed to Make Hyper-Sexualized Videos

Britney Spears called into The TJ Show on AMP 103.3 in Boston this morning and admitted that she’s under a lot of pressure to return to that hyper-sexualized image she once had. She reminisced about when it wasn’t like that and dreams of a day when it can just be about the dance.

“A lot of sex goes into what I do. But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was like one outfit through the whole video, and you’re dancing the whole video, and there’s like not that much sex stuff going on.”

“It’s about the dance and it’s about being old school, it’s like keeping it real and just making it about the dance. I’d love to do a video like that.”

Is she talking about “Hit Me Baby” when she wore the school girl outfit, “Slave” when she was all sweaty and writhing around, “Oops I Did It Again” when she wore that cameltoe revealing bodysuit or “Toxic” when she dressed in that stewardess outfit that gave everyone a slight upskirt shot?

Britney went on to explain how she had to put her foot down and force them to cut out the racier parts of her new video “Work Bitch.”

“Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there. Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it’s just hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well.”

“I just have to be true to myself and you know, feel it out when I do stuff.”

Rihanna’s video came out around the same time which made Britney’s seem like a Disney video by comparison. Oh, you danced around in hot pants and a bra? Rihanna was bouncing her ass up and down in water and making it rain with her vagina.

The DJ then asked if Britney’s people were pushing her further than she wanted to go and whether she sat in the editing room not budging on anything she found too sexual. She gave a nervous laugh and says, “Yes.”
