Kanye West Thinks Kim Kardashian Is More Influential Than Michelle Obama

Did that headline grab your attention? Hm, maybe I should have put in something about boobs. Whatever. You’re here now and that’s all that matters.

In an interview on Tuesday with Ryan Seacrest, Kanye West talked about a lot of things like the frustration of hitting the Michael Jackson glass ceiling in fashion. You’ll be surprised to learn he has a really high opinion of himself.

“People say, ‘Life isn’t fair. What are you complaining about?’ [But] it’s not fair that I don’t have infrastructure for what I want to to do in clothing because I’m crazy influential. Meaning, like, there’s no way for it to not work. When we do t-shirts, we do $200,000 in five hours, it works, but it’s a wall … It’s the Michael Jackson glass ceiling when he couldn’t get his videos played because he was considered to be urban. Now for me, what I want to create isn’t about black and white, but the reason why I’m not able to create what I want to create is about being black and is about classism. And that’s that wall when I took [Kim] to the Met Ball and they put it up on Vogue.com and tried to say she wasn’t there because they didn’t want a reality show girl there. KIIS FM

Or maybe it isn’t so much as classism as much as it is Kanye’s designs aren’t as good as he thinks they are. Don’t tell him that though. In his mind, he’s the fashion Jesus. Fashion Yeezus?

He then touches on that issue of people not respecting Kim Kardashian just because she’s a reality star who got her start from a video of Ray J shoving his penis in her. So judgemental, you guys.

“Or like with the Hollywood Walk of Fame … it’s not the walk of singing … it’s the Walk of Fame … and classism has been going on before racism. We’re classist. We have our cool table … and there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday … and collectively we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [President] Obama is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day… so it’s to say when we are there and [editor-in-chief of French Vogue] Carine Roitfeld supports my girl, that’s a breakthrough … there’s a wall of classism that we are breaking through.”

Let me break this down for you. Kanye West is ranting about not Kim not being able to sit at the cool table. Kanye West, the guy who won’t allow photogs to talk to him. Gosh, I wonder what would happen if some bum tried to sit at his VIP table at the club. I’m sure they’d be met with open arms.

At least he used an appropriate comparison between Kim and Michelle Obama to make his point about Kim being an influencer of fashion. That attention whore Michelle Obama can’t even get one person to buy the fabulous dress she posted on Instagram like Kim can. What a loser.
