King of Kablooey Michael Bay was attacked on the set of Transformers 4: The Age of Extinction in Hong Kong on Thursday. Bay was there filming when two brothers came up to him demanding he pay them HK$100,000 ($12,900). They explained that he needed to pay them to be able to film in HK’s Quarry Bay district. Bay refused and one of the brothers attacked him injuring the right side of his face. Bay declined medical attention.
The older brother was arrested on suspicion of assault, while the younger brother was arrested on suspicion of assault and blackmail. Police have now handed the case over to specialist anti-triad units reserved for tackling Hong Kong’s notorious criminal gangs.
Are you sure these guys are with the Triads? They don’t sound very smart. It’s kind of hard to blackmail and attack one of the biggest directors in the world and not expect news of it to get out. Punching him in the face won’t help either. Though to be fair, all white people look alike so how were they supposed to know he was famous international director Michael Bay?
