Responding to the harsh criticism she’s receiving for her portrayal of Julie Andrews’ Maria von Trapp character in the live theatrical performance of The Sound of Music, Carrie Underwood tweeted that mean people need Jesus and did what every passive aggressive Christian does when they want to tell someone off but can’t. Pray for them.
Plain and simple: Mean people need Jesus. They will be in my prayers tonight… 1 Peter 2:1-25

Not only have critics gone in on Underwood, but so have stars from the original film. Kym Karath who played Greti von Trapp tweeted during the live Thursday show, “Mystified & disappointed so far by SOM special.” Karath was only impressed by Stephen Moyer adding that “some scenes are actually painful to watch.”
Karath tried to take back her first tweet by sending out another but as well all know, there are no take-backs on the internet. “To be clear I love Carrie Underwood. Just not as Maria. She was brave to take it on. And this doesn’t lessen my respect for her talent.” In essence, she’s good, but not good enough. Backhanded compliments? Yep, Karath has got those.
Need Jesus? But What if your mean and your jewish or athiest? then what do you do? LOL What an idiot ….
She’s still right! Are you one of those?
no shes not-she was awful in SOM-she needs acting lessons!
so mean people need to believe in fairytales and unicorns? Religion is a business.. a huge scam to extort, control and scare the average sheep people who are too weak to have their own thoughts…so the follow just whatever… what a crock
I thought it was the other way around. I thought Jesus needs mean people.
Anyways, that’s just like…..her opinion man.
Carrie Underwood is uneducated if she believes Jesus was anything more than a crazy guy who went around telling people he was the son of god. Imagine if someone walked up to you and said they were the son of god, you would think they were looney.
