Phil Robertson Returns to Duck Dynasty After an 8 Day Suspension

A&E suspended Phil Robertson for his anti-gay rhetoric in a GQ interview but money talks and hookers don’t work for free so of course A&E has lifted the suspension after just 8 days. Hasn’t this man has suffered enough? He had to take a forced vacation over the holidays for god’s sake.

Revealing that they had spoken to the family, A&E said that while they do not share Robertson’s views, “Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family … a family that America has come to love.”

“While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the ‘coarse language’ he used and the misinterpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article,” the statement continued. “He also made it clear he would ‘never incite or encourage hate.'”

As a way to karmically counterbalance Phil’s beliefs, A&E plans to run clips of two dudes banging during commercial breaks. Just kidding, they’re going to run PSAs “promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people.”

A&E wanted to be the hero and wave the flag of political correctness, but then realize that most of the people how follow the show some how share Phil Robertson view and the ban was starting to hurt the business, so they thought how can we spin this? I guess they found a way ;)
