E! Really Sorry About That Michael J. Fox Not So Fun Fact

During its pre-ceremony coverage of the Golden Globes, E! tried to keep people interested by putting up some fun facts about the celebrities in attendance. One of them was about Michael J. Fox. Did you know Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991? Delightful, right?

No, not really. People didn’t think Michael J. Fox being diagnosed with a crippling disease was a very fun fact. Ugh, don’t you just hate Debbie Downers.

E! has since issued an apology saying it regrets the insensitive remark. Obviously. Their statement read, “We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologize.”

A communication breakdown definitely occurred somewhere! With that said, I’m sure there was no malicious intent involved.
