Marvel Wants Johnny Depp to Play Dr. Strange

After news that Michael Douglas was cast as Hank Pym in Ant-Man, comes reports that say Marvel is hoping Johnny Depp will agree to take on the role of Dr. Strange. This is strictly for Phase 3 of their Avengers plan, meaning, you wouldn’t see Depp as Dr. Strange until 2016.

While Depp has only taken a meeting with Marvel to discuss the role, it’s hard to see how he could pass this up. This is the same guy who agreed to The Lone Ranger and the $50 or whatever million they’re going to shove in his lap won’t hurt either. Plus, Dr. Strange looks like the kind of dude who really enjoys wearing eyeliner. That’s pretty much Johnny Depp’s kryptonite.
