Morrissey Equates Eating Meat to Pedophilia

What’s the best way to convince people that your views on a subject are the right views? Draw extreme comparisons to heinous acts.

Morrissey, a hardcore animal rights activist, denounced the eating of meat in an online Q&A with fans on True To You. He said about carnivores, “I see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia. They are both rape, violence, murder.”

At the most basic and abstract level he’s right, but clearly those two things are different. While both will infuse a person with rich protein, there’s a stark contrast in how and why it’s done.

He also criticized the slaughter of animals comparing it to the Holocaust. “If you believe in the abattoir then you would support Auschwitz.”

Because the unnecessary slaughter of thousands is just like killing cattle for some delicious steak. Why this comparison idiotic? The Nazis didn’t eat the people they put in the oven.
