Here’s a fun piece of pointless movie trivia that you can annoy your friends with at the next party you attend. Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street has set the record for number of times the f-word is used. The f-word being “f**k” and not the one Jennifer Lawrence hates which is “fat.”
“F**k” is used 506 times throughout the 180 minute movie besting the previous title holder, Spike Lee’s 1999 film Summer of Sam, which had 435 instances. Though it’s only fair to note that Summer of Sam was 38 minutes shorter than Wolf of Wall Street. That’s 3 “fucks” per minute versus Scorsese’s 2.8 “fucks” per minute. So, nearly identical in the amount of fucks given per minute.
F**k that n****r SPIKE LEE!
