Louis CK Gives His Opinion About ‘Inside the Actor’s Studio’, Everything Goes Full Circle

In a case of dramatic irony (God, I hope I’m using that right. I never went to word school), here’s a clip (below) of Louis CK telling Stephen Merchant in 2008 what he’d really like to say whenever aspiring actors ask questions at the end of Inside the Actor’s Studio.

“It always occurs to me, you know, when an actor stands up during… one of the people in the audience.. he says, ‘I’m an actor what can I do,’ and asks Sean Penn or whoever, ‘What can I do to reach your level,’ or whatever and you just want to say, ‘That’s it you will never be famous. You’ll never be famous.’ There’s no way you ask Sean Penn a question and then you’re gonna be huge. There’s not a single member of that audience that would stand up and cry while talking to him… ‘Oh and that became Juliette Lewis or something.'”

As you can see in that clip, a 24-year-old Bradley Cooper actually does ask Sean Penn a question on Inside the Actor’s Studio in 1999. Back then, he had one guest role in Sex in the City to his credit. In 2009, he hit it big with The Hangover. The video then brings the entire thing full circle with the scene from American Hustle of Cooper mocking Louis CK.

Interestingly enough, Cooper also asked Robert DeNiro and Steven Spielberg a couple questions too.
