Finally, There Will be a ‘Karate Kid’ Remake Sequel

Because the first The Karate Kid remake with Jaden Smith somehow magically grossed $343 million worldwide and because his daddy is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sony decided there should be a sequel. Hopefully for Jaden, by the time this releases, people will have forgotten the abortion that was After Earth. I’ve watched colonoscopies more entertaining than that.

Variety reports that Brick Eisner has been tapped to direct the sequel. Who’s Brick Eisner?

Eisner’s credits include “Sahara” and “The Crazies.” He’s also attached to Summit’s fantasy-actioner “The Last Witch Hunter,” starring Vin Diesel.

Dare to dream big, Sony.
