Florida Dad Kicked Out of Skatepark After Pushing Son Down Ramp

Big Brown. That’s the name given to the largest half-pipe at Kona Skate Park in Arlington. It’s also the half-pipe a Florida father kicked his 6-year-old down from during a Friday afternoon trip to said skatepark.

In the video, Marcus Crossland was waiting for his son to roll down Big Brown but the kid was being a major pussy and taking his sweet time trying to overcome his fear of possibly breaking an arm or something. Impatient, Marcus kicked his son over the edge. The kid wasn’t hurt but he did groan like a bitch when his undeveloped body hit the bottom. Park operator, Martin Ramos, immediately told Crossland to leave the park.

The incident was caught on video by 13-year-old Ryan Stephens and posted to Instagram. Stephens confronted the father after he saw what he did.

“I asked him why is he doing this,” the teen told the news station.

“Because he needs to learn,” Crossland allegedly told the teen.

Stephens said he told the father that kicking his son down the ramp was no way to teach the boy how to “drop in.”

“Do you think you can raise him better than me?” Crossland asked.

Crossland was apparently filled with regret once Ramos approached to boot him out of the park.

“(Crossland) said he was just caught up in the moment,” Ramos said. “He seemed very remorseful. He certainly understands the gravity of the situation and it seems like he is going to be answering to this thing for quite some time to come.”

Kicking your kid off the edge of a 15 foot ramp probably isn’t good parenting but I’m not sure. I’m going to have to consult a few experts on this matter.
