Back in March, Zac Efron was near a sketchy part of LA where he threw a bottle out his car’s window and was subsequently punched in the face by a homeless man. It wasn’t a high point for Zac Efron.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Efron explains everything. You see, he was trying to get some food with a friend when his car ran out of gas off the 110 and he was trying to call a cab and then all of a sudden his friend was almost shanked by a homeless guy. Mm hmm.
“I had a friend come pick me up late at night — we were looking for a place downtown to get a bite and catch up,” he says, without identifying the friend. “We were having trouble finding somewhere — a lot of places were closed — and the car ran out of gas off the 110. It was ridiculous. We had to pull over, and I called Uber.”
While waiting, “A homeless guy, or vagrant, tapped on the driver’s-side window. Before I knew it, he [the friend] was out of the car, and they started fighting. I saw that [the homeless man] was carrying some sort of a knife, or shank, and I got out of the car to disarm him. At some point, he dropped the knife, and I got hit pretty hard in the face — and almost instantly the police were there to break up the fight.” After that, the two friends went home. Efron calls it “the most terrifying moment in my life.”
So when their car ran out of gas, they were planning to take an Uber where exactly? To the gas station? Has this dude never heard of AAA? I also like the part where his friend randomly jumps out of the car to fight a homeless guy and then Zac went to save him from being stabbed. So brave. I bet the homeless guy was also 6’5” and built like an NFL linebacker and probably was on PCP or something which made him super strong. Which would be a strange coincidence because it sounds like the same guy I fought when I got my ass kicked.
