Celebrities love dealing in hyperbole. Just ask Gwyneth Paltrow who said being trolled is like going to war. Today we have Charlize Theron who says she doesn’t Google herself because it’s tantamount to being raped.
“I don’t do that, so that’s my saving grace. When you start living in that world, and doing that, you start I guess feeling raped.”
Asked if she felt that strongly about the issue, Theron said: “Well, you know when it comes to your son and your private life. Maybe that’s just me. Some people might relish all that stuff but there are certain things in my life that I think of as very sacred and I am very protective over them.
Rape connotates something really extreme so in that regard, she’s totally right. When I read stuff people write about me online, I curl up into the fetal position in the shower and rock back and forth crying all the time.
Now let’s rape her with her Vogue shoot.
