Amy Van Dyken, the six-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer who severed her spinal cord while riding an ATV, is in good spirits inside the hospital despite her injuries. She posted a photo from inside her ICU with the caption, “Doing great today. My room is the most decorated in ICU. Thx for ur thoughts & prayers!”
Dyken is braver than I am. I stubbed my toe last week and screamed, “Owie! Owie! Owie!” for about 15 minutes.
