A recent Vogue piece on Cara Delevingne says she was late to her interview because she overslept. Twice. She didn’t like that very much.
An hour later I await Cara on a wicker lounger. I am definitely relaxed enough for the interview. I read a magazine, have some tea, look at the time. Fifteen minutes pass. No Cara. Half an hour. Finally a masseuse appears and whispers to me that Cara has fallen asleep. “I went to take her some water after her treatment and she was out. Shall I wake her up?”
Cara finally appears, looking refreshed after her rest. “I’m so sorry!!!” she exclaims, collapsing into a chair. “I fall asleep everywhere! Someone recently asked if they could publish a book of pictures of me sleeping, because there are so many.”
Tim Walker, who has shot Cara on multiple occasions, said she does this a lot. ‘Every shoot I’ve done with her, she’s fallen asleep … She slept for seven hours on one Mulberry shoot.”
Cara took to Twitter to rant about how the media only wants to break people down and that sleeping is proof that she works too hard.
Why do people in the industry lie so much???? They would rather see you fail than succeed. What happened to supporting each other

It's even worse when your trying to fight people that have all the power because then you are powerless

All I can say is that I work extremely hard and 'sleeping' is proof that sometimes I work too hard. I apologise for being so ambitious

This just shows that the fashion industry is not the most understanding or compassionate of industries

That only applies to the people that sit around not really caring and never really bothering to get to know you or what it's really like

I’m not sure sleeping is indicative of working too hard. That’s like an overweight person saying that eating so much is proof that they workout too hard and that calling them a fatty is just you trying to get a story. *shoves another bear claw in mouth*
She could have laughed it off with a goofy tweet, but by virtue of taking it so seriously she’s made it a non-story a story. Cara, dear, MOST people work hard, and are paid far less… I suggest you take a look at what whining about her tough life of privilege has done for Gwenneth Paltrow’s reputation and take heed.
