Lady Gaga’s Music Video With Two Sexual Predators Was Pulled

Back in December, Lady Gaga’s music video for “Do What U Want” was scrapped. In January, Gaga posted a message on her site blaming it on bad management and a tight schedule. Except, that wasn’t the whole story.

The video starred R. Kelly and was shot by Terry Richardson. At the time, Richardson was accused of sexual assault by a bunch of models. Meanwhile, a Village Voice article interviewing Chicago writer Jim DeRogatis claimed that, in the 90s, Kelly assaulted “dozens of girls — not one, not two, dozens — with harrowing lawsuits.”

You could see how this would make Gaga’s people a bit nervous considering, in the video, Kelly plays a doctor with Gaga as his patient where she asks, “Will I ever be able to walk again?” Kelly replies with, “Yes, if you let me do whatever I want with your body.” He goes on to say, “I’m putting you under, and when you wake up, you’re going to be pregnant.” Right, so R. Kelly, a guy accused of sexual assault, is going to rape her in her sleep. Not sure if anyone thought this through.

TMZ obtained a clip of the video proving that, yea, releasing the music video glorifying two sexual predators probably wouldn’t have been a good idea. Sure, it’s not the worst idea in all of music history (see: Justin Bieber being discovered on YouTube) but it’s pretty close to that.
