George R. R. Martin Gives a Big F**k You to People Who Think He Won’t Finish His Series

Tagesanzeiger, a Swiss newspaper, asked George R. R. Martin, 65, about those speculating he would die before he finishes A Song of Ice and Fire. Angry, Martin shot back, “I find that question pretty offensive. So, f**k you to those people,” and gave the finger. Classic George.

Martin explained that he’s writing slower these days. Not just because he’s getting up there in years but because he needs to attend all these publicity events.

Granted, he has no set deadline on when he’s going to finish the next book but, even if he does die, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss know how it will end. And isn’t that all that matters? That we get to see the thrilling conclusion no matter what? At this point, do we even need the guy anymore? Let him have as many cronuts as he wants.

Yeah actually we do need him because now that the Showrunners know the ending they are picking and choosing what aspects of George’s story they want to leave in and what aspects they should throw out. They are ruining his books by trying to race him to his own ending. Disgusting that HBO had to hijack one of the major literary works of our time just to save their skins after mistakes like True Blood. They couldnt just wait a few more years. Hollywood should burn.
