Kari Byron, Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara are all leaving Mythbusters after 10 years. According to the three, the Discovery Channel decided to “take a new direction.”

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman announced in a video that the two were going back to their origins with just them. Asked what all this “new direction” mumbo jumbo was about, the show did the usual PR dance around the subject.
“Kari, Tory and Grant have been an incredibly important part of ‘MythBusters’ for over a decade,” a senior publicist with Discovery told FOX411 in an email. “From explosions to car crashes to even more explosions, this trio has helped shape ‘MythBusters’ into the Emmy-nominated series it is today. Everyone at Discovery wants to thank them for their tireless work busting almost 1000 myths, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors.”
This could be a response to the ratings and fans yelling about only seeing the finished product and missing the process of builds. So, this may be a good thing. Especially now that I won’t get distracted yelling at the tv for Kari to jump up and down.
“Especially now that I won’t get distracted yelling at the tv for Kari to jump up and down.” Seriously?! Kari is more than just tits and a cute face, but way to sneak in some last-minute sexism.
Really disappointed with their decision, not to bring Tory, Grant and Kari back. They gave that show personality and had lots of chemistry together. I won’t be watching when the “new direction” takes place. Sorry Myth guys, you blew it!.
