Here’s What Ray Rice Was Suspended Two Games For

After seeing that video of Ray Rice dragging his then fiancee, Janay Palmer, who he was reported to have knocked unconscious, out of an elevator, the NFL handed down their punishment. A two game suspension.

TMZ released the full elevator footage on Sunday. The altercation looks worse on video. The recording starts with Palmer slapping Rice before walking to the elevator. Rice follows and, once inside, punches Palmer causing her to hit her head on the railing and basically being out before she hit the ground. The two were married a month after the incident because you can’t let a little concussion stand in the way of true love.

The NFL claims they never even saw the video until today despite asking for all information related to the incident including the elevator footage. The league, however, doesn’t mention whether or not they tried to get it from the casino themselves.

But now that they’ve seen this, at least next time Ray Rice punches his wife, the punishment will probably be way more severe. Like, they’ll tell him to stand in the corner and think about what he’s done. The NFL is tough. Tough but fair.
