Malaysia Airlines is having the worst year. Just THE WORST.
On Monday, the company launched a “My Ultimate Bucket List” campaign asking for Australian and New Zealand residents to write down a bucket list to enter into a competition where they could win iPads and flights to Malaysia.
Conjuring up images of death for people flying Malaysia Airlines was probably the most ill-advised contest ever considering what’s happened to them in the past six months.
In March, MH370 just vanished and hasn’t been found since. In July, MH17 was shot down over the Russia-Ukraine border killing everyone on board. If that wasn’t enough, during a flight to France in August, a senior Malaysia Airlines staff member was accused of raping an Australian woman.
They’ve since stopped the contest after everyone made fun of them as they should have.

Jesus. Who runs their marketing team? A bunch of monkeys throwing darts at an idea board? Literally anything else would have made for a better contest. They could have had people punch their significant other in the faces and it would have been 100 times better.
I kinda liked the idea… I thought it was tongue-in-cheek. Boo on those of you with no sense of humor. Give me a ticket, I’m THERE!
