Shia LaBeouf Is One of the Best Actors Brad Pitt Has Ever Seen

When promoting your movie, you have to say things that you may not completely believe or convince yourself of the lies you tell. Brainwash yourself, basically. That’s probably what Brad Pitt did while promoting Fury as he calls Shia LaBeouf one of the best actors he’s ever seen. LaBeouf, the kid who wears a paper bag over his head.

“Oh, I love this boy. He’s one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. He’s full-on commitment, man. He’s living it like no one else, let me tell you,” the actor raves. “I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of great actors. He’s one of the best I’ve seen.”

Besides admitting he’d be open to doing TV (True Detective season 3, anyone?), Pitt adds that if he was younger, he’d be on Twitter making an ass of himself like all the other young celebs.

“Listen, I see a benefit in it. You could, you know, combat the misconceptions of the misquotes immediately,” the actor explains. “And if I’d have had that in my younger days, I’d have used it…because I felt quite used, and completely misunderstood, and misread, and not given the benefit of the doubt.”

“You know, I felt that a lot in my first years,” the World War Z star adds. “I would have brought some logic to the table, and brought it immediately. But now, at this point, I don’t want to bother with it.”

I don’t know. Pitt was a stoner when he was young. He’d probably be tweeting while high. Like the first tweet would be all, “F**k you, dude. I didn’t suck in that movie.” The second tweet would then be all apologetic like, “S**t. Sorry, man. I forgot. I wasn’t even in that movie.”
