We Won’t Be Seeing Amanda Bynes for a While

Because of the mass amounts of crazy, Amanda Bynes will be under another conservatorship which will not be overseen by her parents. Doctors are attempting to get an LPS Hold for Bynes, an order granted only if the patient is “gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism.”

An LPS Hold will put Bynes in a hospital or secure facility and allow them to give her meds against her will. She was under an LPS Hold about a year ago. That one ended last month.

Meanwhile, Lena Dunham was congratulating Amanda Bynes for her prose.

I don’t know if I’m the only one who’s been closely following Amanda Bynes’s tweets today. She’s clearly off her medication, the whole situation is really bad … But she did say something kind of similar [to Hannah] which was, “I’m not crazy, I’m actually the one who knows everything that’s happening.” I texted [Jenni Konner] and said, “Maybe I’m nuts, but I think Amanda Bynes is actually kind of a great writer. Do you know what I mean?” She was like, “I don’t know what you mean!”

Makes sense. You know who writes crazy people well? Crazy people.
