Chet Haze Is/Was a Cokehead

Chet Haze, son of Tom Hanks and the biggest rapper to come out of Northwestern since that barking dog that one guy had, says he’s 50 days sober. Sober from what? The two most ubiquitous party drugs, coke and alcohol.

In an Instagram post, Chet says he’s been dealing with substance abuse since he was 16. He finally decided to get help at 24. 50 days later, he’s the happiest he’s ever been. Happier than when you’re on drugs, Chet? I think not.

I’m thankful for my family and everybody that cares about me, including my fans. I’ve been blessed with the programs of AA and NA which allow me to rise above this disease. I’m learning to accept my faults and be ok with being human. If anybody that sees this struggles with addiction, feel free to reach out. Thank you all for the love and support! GOD IS REAL!!!

One of the steps of AA is to make amends with the people he’s harmed. Suffice to say, expect a video from him real soon apologizing for his attempted rap career. However, don’t expect him to apologize for his swagger. No one should have to apologize for that.
