Ice, Ice Baby! Going to Jail, Jail, Soon! Robert Van Winkle, aka Vanilla Ice, aka one of the biggest one hit wonders ever, is about to earn some street cred. Florida officials have charged him with burglary and grand theft according to Lantana, Florida police chief Sean Scheller.
The burglary happened sometime within the last month, Scheller said, and Van Winkle, who hasn’t been booked yet, is being charged with burglary and grand theft.
Numerous items of furniture, a pool heater, bicycles and other items were removed from the residence, police said.
During an investigation into the house adjacent to the one Van Winkle was renovating, authorities obtained a search warrant and found several of the stolen items at his residence, leading them to determine that the rapper played a role in the crime, Scheller confirmed.
