Some lucky English TSA agent will be slurping on celebrity breast milk tonight. Alyssa Milano tweeted about her run-in with Heathrow Airport where they supposedly dumped her breast milk because it exceeded their 100-milliter regulations. To everyone not on the metric system, that’s about three-and-a-half ounces, whereas Milano brought on ten. Pssh, celebrities, amirite? Thinking they can skirt the laws. Milano, of course, went on Twitter to vent.
(1 of 2) @HeathrowAirport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not okay.

(2 of 2) They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me????

.@HeathrowAirport Why can you test my toiletries to make sure they are safe but you have to throw away my breast milk?

Heathrow didn’t sit back and take it, and responded:
@Alyssa_Milano Hi Alyssa. Unfortunately, without a baby present, the government requires all liquids in carry-ons to follow the 100ml rule.

@Alyssa_Milano Sorry for any confusion caused. To confirm, if you aren't travelling with your baby, milk is subject to the 100ml/(3.4oz) 1/2

Milano seemed not to understand that hellooo, she was over the limit.
.@HeathrowAirport I was told I would be fine if the baby was with me. Plus, it was less than 5 ounces per container. Why is my shampoo okay?
— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) April 9, 2015
.@HeathrowAirport I would have happily spread milk in different containers (which I travel with) to comply t… http://t.co/I1kmVXufhv

She could’ve put her breast milk in multiple jars OR a better solution, have every male passenger suck her breast milk out and hold it in their mouths until that baby was ready to nurse.
Can someone please explain the 100ml rule? Can’t terrorists just book 10 seats and take a bunch of 100ml bottles?
Someone needs to explain to her that THIS is what you get when you refuse to use common sense at airports. Profiling works.
