You know how they say the boss has got you by the balls? Michael Peacock definitely knows what that means. And worse. Peacock’s boss grabbed and yanked Peacock’s testicle at a “team-building” seminar. Guess if there was alcohol involved.
On July 18, 2012, the workers for the data-security company Iron Mountain Management went barhopping in Kingston and took a cruise on the Hudson to foster camaraderie.
But as the booze flowed, boss Richard Langtry became “increasingly loud and aggressive,” Peacock claims in New Jersey Superior Court papers.
Langtry “drank heavily throughout the day and into the evening,” and then, as the men passed each other outside a restroom, “grabbed [Peacock’s] left testicle, squeezed it hard and pulled it down as if to rip it from his groin,” court papers claim.
So, where does ball yanking come into a “team-building” seminar? Does everyone stand up in the conference room and tug each other’s balls? Because HR wants to see them all right about now.
Langtry grabbed at Peacock’s testicle so hard that doctors eventually removed it. You think that was the worse of it? Oh..oh no, not at all.
Peacock was seen as the villain by some co-workers. They made fun of his disability, calling him a “drag queen” and urging him to “chop the other one off,” according to court papers.
Where’s the workman’s compensation for this Peacock fellow? Hopefully for him, this is just a ‘one-off’ incident.
